Rotary Youth Exchange Program

D6630 Students on Washington DC Tour

Rotary International is actively involved in the youth exchange program to promote world understanding and to provide a cultural education for the youth of the world.

The Stow Munroe Falls Rotary club has been an active participant in this program, both sending students from the Stow area abroad to study for a year long high school program and receiving youth from foreign countries to study a school year in the Stow Munroe Falls High School.

Rotarians act as counselor for the Inbound program, finding host families for the students, overseeing their welfare while they are here, and promoting the program to the club.    Roger Cline has worked with the Outbound program and currenty is working with one student in Czech Republic from Kent and one in France from Silver Lake.

This program is open to all youth in the Stow area who are at least 15.5 years of age, but not more than 18.5 as of August 1st of the year they leave for their foreign assignment.  The applicant should be in the upper 1/3rd of the class and be recommended by school counselors.

Applicants may be sons and daughters of Rotarians as well as children of non Rotarians.
